Effectiveness and efficency in prividing the needs of the citizens (infrastural development, empowerment initiative, prompt payment of salary among others)
Protection of lives and property.
Respect for human right, securing social justice, and checking abuse of power.
Fairness in the allocation of resources.
Citizens access to information.

benchmack for selecting recipient of benevolence integrity:

Uncommon level of charity to recipient locality/consistuency, in addition to have been able to suport your immediate and extended families
empowering people to be self-reliance.

benchmack for selecting recipient of academic integrity:

Abillity to have mentored reasonable numbers of academics and other people
Evidence of timely graduation of students.
Possesion of good report from both students and non students.
Records of community service.

benchmack for ranking best Nigerian Universities:

Promotion of Local initiatives and staff development
Promotion of excellence for scholarship among students.
Staff mix.
Conducive teaching and learning environments.
Conducive office and accomodation for staff.
Adhenrence to University culture and merit base system.

BRIEF HISTORY

Initiative for Integrity Award in Africa is a non-governmental organization created basically to foster integrity in governance and ensure true democracy in Africa and most especially Nigeria. Registered with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it is an organization based on the principle of moral ethics with the major aim of promoting integrity and governance.

VISION:

To make Nigeria a pride among nations and Africa a peaceful place to live in.

MISSION STATEMENT:

We are a team driven by passion to promote people of integrity, encourage good, effective and equitable governance. Our mission, therefore, is to advocate for good, effective and equitable governance for the restoration of integrity and sanity to the Nigeria value system and Africa at large.
